Leidos is in search of a XML Developer to join our dedicated and high performing team on a long-term engagement at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). You will be part of the team responsible for the ongoing support and implementation of new changes to XML based electronic authoring and publishing applications. We have an established XML authoring and publishing framework built on open standards utilizing PTC Arbortext, Link Author and Antenna House technologies. You will be responsible for continued maintenance of existing PTC Arbortext and Link Author applications as well as implementing new changes and enhancements per customer requirements. In this role you will interface with users to gather and clarify requirements, develop, test and deploy new code for new project as required. Additionally you will provide design guidance on schema changes as well as provide help support to the user community.

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelors degree and at least 8 years of IT experience. Additional years of experience in lieu of degree may be considered.

Knowledge and skills required:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in manipulating XML data using standards based APIs such as DOM or SAX

  • Experience with transformation technologies including XSLT

  • AVA and TCL/Tl development experience

  • Experience with PTC Arbortext, Link Author, Antenna House, Schema

  • Knowledge of and experience in administering Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) software

Knowledge and Skills preferred:

  • Knowledge of Web publishing technologies including both client-and server-side dynamic content including JavaScript, Servlets, and basic HTML

  • Knowledge of and experience in administering Oxygen XML Editor

  • Experience utilizing Microsoft suite of products

Clearance Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Minimum Background Investigation clearance, similar to a Public Trust

  • Current on all tax filings and tax payments

Working hours

  • Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Eastern time

  • 100% telework is available

Pay Range:

Pay Range $97,500.00 - $150,000.00 - $202,500.00
