Job Summary:

Responsible for independent operation of all x-ray equipment, and for performing diagnostic examinations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic radiographic examinations.
• Analyze radiographs, synthesize radiography information and medical history, and document proper information for physician.
• Assume responsibility for safety, mental and physical comfort of patient while in the care of the technologist.
• Assist with daily operations of the department
• Maintain diagnostic equipment and work area, and maintains adequate supplies.
• Use independent judgment during patient exam to accurately differentiate normal and pathologic findings.

• Basic computer skills.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education – Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology.
• Work Experience – N/A
• Training- N/A
• License/Certification – ARRT and State of New Mexico certifications; current compliance with CME requirements for specialty(ies) as appropriate.

ENVIROMENTAL CONDITIONS: Work environment consists of daily patient contact, which may include exposure to blood, or other body fluids.
