Description and Requirements

Position Description:

The WW Services Offering Development Leader will be responsible for productizing services to help customers who want to outsource the ongoing lifecycle management of their IT infrastructure to achieve specific business outcomes and free up their resources for other core business initiatives. This person will lead an offering development effort in support of meeting these customer requirements.

This role sits in the Digital Workplace Services (DWS) group within the overall global Services and Solutions division of Lenovo and will be the lead in a cross-functional team to create and bring to market several service offerings. The “as a service” offering strategy is two-fold: standalone offers or integration of existing offerings into bundle (s). These could be sold to enterprise customers as well as SMB, oftentimes within a Device as a Service (DaaS) solution sale. The idea is to create digital workplace solutions / services that are as standardized “off-the-shelf” as possible, with minor customizations needed, as opposed to fully customized services. This product manager will create comprehensive marketing requirements documents with input from technical solution architects, delivery teams, IT teams, geography sales teams, other internal functional teams, and customers. They will also create full business cases, value propositions, marketing messaging, pricing and cost models, position products, and launch planning and execution for a global market.

The candidate should have prior product offering development experience, ideally within the tech industry developing digital workplace solutions/services. An ideal candidate will have worked for a large MSP or Systems Integrator and have relevant knowledge in the areas of hardware/software/cloud infrastructure.

Success will require the ability to influence and maintain open communication with all areas of the company, including worldwide IT/Business Transformation teams, software and hardware business units, geo/country service sales & marketing teams, and technical service delivery teams. This person must be able to manage complexity, think creatively, deal with ambiguity, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Individuals will have the opportunity to work with and influence a variety of WW stakeholders to drive transformational projects.

Position Requirements:

  • Create Digital Workplace Solutions / Services offerings that address customers’ IT infrastructure lifecycle management needs that could be outsourced to Lenovo PC – (endpoints focus).
  • Work closely with other development leaders within Lenovo (Hardware, Software, IT, Services, Security, etc.) to align strategies and ensure cohesive product portfolio
  • Work closely with geographies and other Services organizations worldwide to understand priorities & turn this into plans for creating compelling standalone and larger, integrated managed ITSM offerings
  • Conduct competitive analysis to determine pricing strategy and product features that will be included in the offering, including key processes and resources required
  • Analyze potential service partner relationships and develop long-term strategic requirements to support assigned services and solutions
  • Provide input to marketing staff to ensure they are able to generate high quality sales aids such as product guides, press releases and web content

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required, Masters degree a plus
  • 8+ years of services offering development or similar experience, with knowledge about delivery led growth and delivery operations
  • 8+ years of IT technology experience with infrastructure and hardware technology
  • 5+ years leading high performing teams
  • Strong executive presence & leadership skills
  • High level of communication & presentation skills
  • Strong business & financial acumen
  • Ability to lead and thrive in a fast-paced environment without minimum guidance
  • Collaborative approach to meeting business objectives and ability to influence at all levels of matrixed organizations

Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience working with global teams and conducting business internationally
  • Masters Degree
  • Previous experience working for a large Managed Services Provider
