Position Purpose: Researches and writes copy for either a single specialized application or for a variety of publications, communications and promotional materials, including news articles, features, announcements, email messages, scripts, special reports, or speeches. Create customized content and language, apply appropriate media for a variety of purposes, and develop interactive tools such as scripts or programmed training. Work collaboratively with every department in Fidelis Care to produce communication materials.

***This position is fully remote. The Writer/Editor will support the New York health plan Fidelis Care. Candidates residing in New York are preferred.***

Responsibilities:
Writes and publishes a variety of communications products for internal and external audiences, applying appropriate language, style and media to suit message and audience.
Depending on specialty, writes content for sales positioning papers, business summaries, facts sheets, scripts, speeches, presentations, letters, question and answer documents, public relations materials, newsletters, memoranda, and announcements.
Researches and writes media and press release materials, content for web pages, periodicals, emails, scripts, or teleprompters.
Provides communications consultation services, including counseling on methods for developing and distributing effective communications for Fidelis Care
Supports meetings and events for Fidelis Care, by providing collateral materials, announcements, speeches, and promotional materials.
Plans and oversees the production of published materials and large communication projects, including coordination of desktop publishing, print production, fulfillment services and distribution.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, English, Journalism or comparable discipline, required.
Minimum five years experience in communications, employee relations or public relations or other related experience in communication and marketing support; in a corporate setting.
Requires familiarity with applicable hardware or software (e.g. call center script, web page content, presentations, desk top publishing).

The salary range for NY is: $52,900 - $95,200

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
