Stephens Memorial Hospital has an immediate, full-time opening for a Wellness and Rehab Technician in our Physical Therapy department. This position will:

- assist in orientation and preparation of exercise sessions for Wellness members in accordance with director recommendations

- monitor participants and report any inappropriate response to exercise to director or designee

- clean and sterilize equipment daily as indicated by director; and following hospital infection control policies and procedures

- maintain appropriate amount of miscellaneous supplies within the department

- perform administrative duties (including but not limited to): track participant's monthly payment of wellness dues; scheduling; reception of participants; answering phones; etc.

- obtain educational materials for Wellness participants with Director's guidance

Requirements:
1. high school diploma
2. previous healthcare and/or exercise science background a plus
3. exceptional customer service, communication, problem solving, multi-tasking, and record keeping skills
4. ability to learn Wellness & Rehab procedures; desire to work within a comprehensive healthcare team; willingness to follow SMH policies and procedures; and desire to perform in a safe and courteous manner.
