Part-Time Weekend Patient Services Position:

Howard County Medical Center invites applications for the position of Patient Services at its location in St. Paul, Nebraska. This position is responsible for cleaning required number of rooms to ensure compliance with established organizational standards. This position will have an 80/20 percentage of Housekeeping/Kitchen duties. Cleans, maintains, provides sanitary linen throughout the facility in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Howard County Medical Center. On a rotating schedule, this position also prepares and cooks all meals for patients, employees and visitors working from the posted menus, patient marked menus and patient diets as ordered by healthcare providers in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Howard County Medical Center.

This position is part time position with two 12-hour weekend shifts.

Education/Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior laundry experience preferred.
• Prior housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Ability to generate, read, interpret and take action as it relates to basic financial statements, national and state regulations, operational and maintenance and organizational policy/procedures.
• Ability to write reports and correspondence.
• Ability to effectively communicate.
• Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively to maintain good working relationships.
• Ability to work with skill in identifying problems.
• Prior cooking experience in a commercial setting preferred.
• All other job duties as assigned.
