Sirius Staffing is seeking a Packaging Operator for a position located in Havre de Grace, MD. This is a long-term opportunity.

This position will successfully learn to operate and troubleshoot equipment in the packaging area safely. This position is directly responsible for all packaging, loading, and warehousing of finished products safely and environmentally sensitively and by all applicable ESHQ standards while maintaining acceptable OEE.

12-hour shifts (2, 3, 3, 2), 7-7, and the schedule rotates from days to nights

Pay rate: $20/hr + $1500 Sign on Bonus

Responsibilities:

• Operate packaging equipment (bag/FIBC fillers, stretch wrappers, hammer mills, deaeration, etc.) in a safe and efficient manner
• Must understand and comply with site ESHQ procedures, cGMP, and SOPs
• Perform essential maintenance, changeover, set up, and troubleshooting of packaging equipment
• Correctly complete and submit work orders for equipment failures that require maintenance
• Clean and purge packaging equipment
• Safely and properly operate a forklift

Requirements:

• High School education or General Equivalence Diploma required
• Preferred candidate will have previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must possess a good attitude and strong work ethic
• Must be a self-starter, able to multi-task, work independently and perform in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with pumps, valves, and motors preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office platform preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a production environment where heat, cold, dust, and discomfort are standard and wear required PPE.
• Ability to lift 40lbs consistently with repetitive motion
• Ability to perform physical tasks for 12-hour periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting
