Job Title: Warehouse Operations

Reports to: Director, Studio Operations

Job Overview:

The Warehouse Operations colleague will work as a member of the Macy’s Parade studio production team. Our team builds and maintains the Floats, Balloons, Props and Elements for the Iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, along with many other annual events and activations.

Essential Duties:

• Works as a forklift operator, moving floats, materials, and equipment
• Work as a truck driver, hauling floats, trailers, and large equipment
• Support team shuttle to and from Secaucus junction train station weekly or as needed
• Conduct and document all local and OSHA required facility and safety inspections
• Manage daily deliveries and shipments
• Maintain and stock inventory
• Be the point person for vendor maintenance and repair
• Ensure that facilities are clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures
• Truck driver/crewmember on installations and events as needed
• Ensure all vehicles are clean and maintained
• Ensure all vehicle registration and insurance information is up to date and facilitate DMV/Insurance Team conversations
• Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Studio Management

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years Forklift experience
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Self-directed, able to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a production shop environment
• Willingness to learn and expand your skillset
• Possess basic computer and mathematical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work and collaborate with others
• Experience working in a “hands-on” production shop environment
• Professional in appearance
• Good physical condition, job requires physical lifting, pulling, pushing 50+lbs.
• Must be able to pass required Federal Motor Carrier Safety medical exam
• Experience in construction, welding, and rigging a plus

Work Hours:

• 40 hours M-F typical
• Willingness to work overtime and meet deadlines
• Some nights, weekends and holidays required including Thanksgiving eve and Thanksgiving Day
