ABB's Distribution Solutions Division provides utility, industrial and commercial customers with safe, smart and sustainable technologies for the distribution of electricity. With ABB AbilityTM enabled digital solutions at its core, our extensive portfolio includes distribution automation products, switching, limiting, measuring and sensing devices, switchgear, modular substation packages, and related services. The role reports to the Warehouse Manager and is located in Pinetops, North Carolina. As a Warehouse – Material Handler, you will be will be in charge of ensuring that warehousing operations are executed in a safe, timely and efficient manner. This is a key position in the Distribution Solutions team. You will lead by example, following all established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, record and dispatch goods in the warehouse to ensure seamless receipt and dispatch of goods.

Your responsibilities

• Self starter
• Maintain detailed list of products and locations
• Efficiently locate information; must demonstrate during selection process
• Ensure that correct material is received
• Study and follow instructions
• Follow all safety and 5S guidelines
• Assist in maintaining files and records of receiving documents for domestic and international transactions
• Assist in training others
• Perform other related duties as required
• Communicate clearly
• Physical duties of warehousing: De-palletizing and palletizing for storage
• Frequent operation of forklift
• Lifting up to 50 lbs

Your background

• Entry level role
• Demonstrated experience working in warehouse or manufacturing environment, if applicable
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken
• Valid drivers’ license
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
