Green Mountain Solar is expanding rapidly. We are seeking a confident professional Warehouse Manager for our South Burlington, VT location. You will be responsible for maintaining administrative duties and inventory management. Candidate must have a professional demeanor with excellent customer service, verbal, written and listening communication skills and be an adaptable, quick learner.
Responsibilities
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing all inventory movements in and out of the warehouse to facilitate our install team’s product needs and maximize the value of on hand inventory. Our customers are purchasing large-ticket items that represent a 25+ year investment on their part and we need to deliver a reliable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing product in a highly efficient manner. Furthermore, customers purchasing solar now are 99% likely to be purchasing solar for the first time. Key Competencies
- Coordinate Project ordering schedules with Project Manager.
- Ensure all project orders are on time and accurate.
- Track and communicate product backorders for the team.
- Process all inventory transactions through inventory management and vendor managed inventory systems.
- Ensure Vendor Managed Inventory is properly maintained and accurate.
- Work with installers, vendors, and distributers to gather and match all orders, packing slips, and invoices.
- Interface closely with Finance to ensure that invoices are tracked and properly paid. Investigate and address any issues that arise to avoid future delays or issues with vendors.
- Manage warehouse stock levels to optimize use of space, job flow, and material costs.
- Palettize and stage pending installs for ease of access for install team and accurate tracking of inventory movements.
- Coordinate with Service and Install teams to process all warranties and truck roll credits.
- Maintain clean and orderly warehouse, employ 5S principles to support ongoing accuracy and cleanliness.
- Work with the Install and Operations Teams to organize and process all empty spools, pallets, recycling, and material returned to vendors for credit.
- Ensure that all applicable GMS Safety standards are employed in the Warehouse, including the maintenance, proper use, and certification for the forklift, as well as any future powered industrial equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Driver's License with no excessive violations
- Must have a minimum of HS diploma or GED.
- 2 years minimum warehouse experience
Job Type: Full-Time, M-F 7am-3:30pm
