General Production Laundry Operator

Essential Functions/Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the processing, distribution, and storage of washable linen garments and other items
• Performs basic laundry tasks which include washing, ironing, pressing, folding, labeling, inspection and care of specialty items
• Always observes Standard Precautions, included but not limited to handling soiled linen
• Demonstrates knowledge of how to handle hazardous waste safely and appropriately, following safety rules and guidelines
• Reads Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) correctly.
• Is willing to change schedule to accommodate unanticipated cleaning requirements.
• Records linen count.
• Performs duties as trained including but not limited to; fold and stack linens, sorts out substandard linen, loads exchange carts and makes linen distribution according to established inventory levels.
• Operates equipment in a safe and proper manner, including but not limited to; extractors, scales, tumblers, ironers and folders
• Operate washers and dryers according to recommended capacity and other manufacturer’s guidelines
• Fold clean linens and store as appropriate
• Operate linen feeder, sheet folder, towel folder and table linen ironer machines Report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions. Monitor and control supplies, and minimize waste within laundry facility.
• Sort and record discarded linen into categories
• Report damages or loss of linen to supervisor Skills and Competencies:
• Communication: Ability to follow directions. Ability to read and understand written documents, such as safety rules and operating and maintenance instructions.
• Logical reasoning: Ability to carry out instructions. Mathematical: Ability to count and perform simple addition and subtraction.
• Ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds frequently. Must be able to climb a maximum of 50 Feet. Job requires excessive amounts of stooping, bending, pulling and crawling. Must have ability to meet deadlines.
• Responsible for all company equipment, tools and materials. Possess skills to operate heavy equipment.

Requirements:

• Must have Open Avaibility Monday-Sunday (you will have 2 days off)
• Applicant must have their own vehicle as transportation
• Must pass Background check and E-VERIFY

Job Shifts: AM (7am-Labor ends) / PM (7pm-labor ends) 8-12 hours per day

Pay: $14.50 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Night shift
• Overnight shift
• Weekend availability
