Hours/Week: M-TH 10hr Shift /40 guaranteed plus overtime

Summary Receives, stores, and distributes products within warehouse by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Reads load sheet or bill of lading to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders by hand on pallets or truck bays; builds 12-15 pallets per day stacking cases 8-14 layers high.

• Drives forklift to convey product and items from receiving or loading areas to storage or to other designated areas; completes forklift inspection.

• Load outgoing and unload incoming trucks; Sorts and places products by hand on racks, shelves, or designated area according to predetermined sequence such as size, brand, style, color, stop sequence or product code.

• Uses iPod to enter records product moves within Encompass. Occasionally compiles invoices and collects payment.
• Follows all safety regulations including Company standards, OSHA regulations, and Food Safety/Defense requirements.

Qualifications

• 21 years or older; High school education or equivalent; or up to one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Forklift certification (certification provided by Premier)
• Drug screen, physical, and background check
• To perform this job successfully, a Warehouse order picker will need to learn Encompass Pocket PC Order processing system
• Material handling required, must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move by hand from floor to knuckle and from knuckle to shoulder more than 40 pounds (case of beer) and occasionally lift and/or move more than 160 pounds (keg of beer) 4-6 inches (from floor to pallet).
