Habitat for Humanity of Berkeley County ReStore is looking for friendly, positive, and energetic people to join our team! ReStore is a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center that sells new and gently used furniture, appliances, home décor, and much more.
This position requires availability Tuesday through Saturday

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Safely load/ unload donations and merchandise for donors and customers including heavy furniture and building material items
• Keep stage furniture on sales floor and keep general facilities maintained
• Help with processing, cleaning, testing, pricing, organizing, and staging merchandise
• Screen donations and make sure they meet ReStore donation criteria
• Provide excellent customer service to donors and customers
• Maintain an effective working relationship with ReStore staff, volunteers, donors and ReStore customers
• Occasionally supervise volunteers

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to frequently lift 50 to 75 lbs and occasionally up to 100 with help
• Must be able to frequently walk, stand, bend, and squat

Qualifications

• Retail and/or warehouse experience: 2 years minimum

Requires the physical ability to sit, walk, and/or stand for prolonged periods of time. This individual must also have the use of all senses, to include, but not limited to sight, hearing, smell and taste while possessing the ability to stand, stoop, bend, grasp and/or hold to complete warehouse, shop, showroom, and storage area work. The normal work place will be out of the office and in the warehouse, box truck, storage area and shop. While the HfHBC offices are smoke-free and temperature controlled, a majority of the work may be in non-temperature-controlled conditions, often outdoors. This position requires individuals who are able to safely lift at least 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 pounds with help occasionally

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
