The Company:

Hooker Furnishings Corporation, in its 99th year of business, is a designer, marketer and importer of case goods (wooden and metal furniture), leather furniture and fabric-upholstered furniture for the residential, hospitality and contract markets.
The Position:
We are looking for a dependable individual with a great attention to detail to join our* Spring/Assembly team. *This candidate will maintain our spring assembly area and work independently to complete the following duties:

• Applying metal springs to furniture
• Applying cardboard patterns to furniture
• Applying cloth material to furniture
• Using hand tools such as air-driven staple guns, claw hammer, scissors, and small utility knives
• Receive and put away materials.

Candidates that will be a great fit will:

• Have previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Enjoy fast paced and independent work.
• Be able to work standing up for entire shift and move quickly from one department to another.
• Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Shift: Monday to Friday 6 am - 3:30 pm.
Pay: 14.00 per hour during training. Once employees are fully trained, their pay will increase based of skill level and speed.
