Toss & Fire is a wood-fired pizzeria and catering company with locations in North Syracuse and Camillus.

Part Time Position - MUST BE AVAILABLE on nights and weekends.

Estimated wages include tips, this position pays waitstaff rate of $9.45 plus tips.

JOB DESCRIPTION- SERVER

Summary: Team player with a “can do” attitude who is responsible for meeting and greeting guests promptly and warmly, takes food and beverage orders in an efficient manner. Enters orders into POS system, delivers food to customers promptly and professionally. Follows up with customers periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests. Demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, and advises guests on food and drinks when requested. Occasionally assists cashier with take out and delivery customers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Essential Duties:

• Meets and greets customers with friendly, inviting attitude
• If no hostess is scheduled, seats customers on a rotating basis with other servers
• Communicates to servers when new customers have been seated in their section
• Communicates directly with kitchen staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
• Promptly addresses complaints or issues, informs manager of such issues.
• Processes cash, credit card and gift card transactions for customers
• Occasionally coordinates pick up of take out and delivery orders with the kitchen
• Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers and managers
• Additional duties as assigned by managers

Daily Operational Tasks:

• Ensures front entrance, counter and floor are neat, swept and clean prior to each shift
• Prior to service, checks booths, chairs and tabletops for cleanliness
• Checks all menu’s for stains and cleanliness. Asks manager for replacement menu’s as needed
• Stocks dining room and bar glasses, rolls silverware and folds boxes
• Stocks server station with plates, napkins, silverware & boxes as needed
• Spot sweeps as necessary
• Stocks Grab & Go dessert items

(cookies, brownies, cupcakes, etc…)

• Refers to nightly clean up checklist to ensure proper cleaning procedures are being followed
• Checks with closing manager for additional tasks before clocking out

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.20 - $35.00 per hour
