The Visual Merchandising Assistant reports directly to the Area Visual Merchandiser and/or the Regional Visual Merchandiser and is selected and reviewed by the Regional Visual Merchandiser and the Senior Director of Visual Merchandising.

What you'll be doing:
  • Assist the Area Visual Merchandiser and/or Regional Visual Merchandiser in creating and maintaining the visual and merchandise presentation of the showrooms.
  • Help coordinate furniture and accessory placement in accordance with the Standards Manual
  • Weekly communication with the Area Visual Merchandiser and/or the Regional Visual Merchandiser to ensure the highest visual and merchandise presentation in accordance with the Standards Manual.
  • Follow directive given by the Area Visual Merchandiser and/or Regional Visual Merchandiser to implement floor moves to accommodate weekly transfers with the assistance of the House personnel.
  • Clearly articulate floor moves to store management through verbal and written communication.
  • Establish open and professional communication with the Area Visual Merchandiser, Regional Visual Merchandiser, and Store Management.
  • Consistently rotate furniture and accessories to ensure a fresh presentation at all times in accordance with the Area Visual Merchandiser and Regional Visual Merchandiser's directive.
  • Hang artwork and Mirrors according to the Standards Manual with the assistance of the House personnel.
  • Monitor each store of responsibility to ensure standards are being maintained according to the Standards Manual (Merchandising, angles, general maintenance etc.).
  • Lend support to stores during yearly and mid-year inventories.
  • Publish weekly work schedules and exercise excellent attendance and time management skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation within area of responsibility.

What we're looking for:
  • Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 1 years Visual Merchandising or relative experience, accessory and/or furniture retail preferred.
  • Requires the ability to work independently, good attendance, and a well-groomed business casual appearance.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and courteous demeanor consistent with excellent customer service.
  • Must be able to lift and move furniture (50 lbs. or more) within the store as well as excellent mobility (bending, lifting, stooping, climbing, pushing, etc.).
