The Durham Public Schools Foundation's (DPSF) mission is to catalyze big ideas and foster community engagement that will accelerate transformation of the Durham Public Schools (DPS) to ensure success and equity for every student. When the whole community brings its talents and resources behind the 33,000+ students in DPS schools, Durham will have innovative and equitable public schools where every student can flourish. The VISTA project will focus on leveraging community and corporate engagement to dismantle barriers to equity that uphold the cycle of poverty. The project will create and coordinate opportunities for the Durham community, specifically Durham Public Schools alumni, to support public schools through volunteering and engagement.
Member Duties : We are seeking a full-time AmeriCorps VISTA to expand communication efforts across our programs. This position will help manage and implement social media and email marketing campaigns, website content development, and other communications.
