Job description

High-School Special Education Teacher

VocoVision is looking for a highly qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team. This position is based in New York at a popular school district.

Responsibilities:

    Implementing, monitoring, and providing updates on student IEP
    Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other support staff to meet the unique needs of each student
    Coordinate with teachers to determine student progress
    Participate in departmental meetings, in-service training, and staff development opportunities
    Maintain accurate and complete records of student progress and attendance

Job Details:

    Special Education Teacher
      Caseload: K - 12th grade
    Full time 40 hr/week M-TH

Requirements:

    State of NY teaching certification in Special Education, or SPED Endorsement + State certification in State of residence
    Abundant experience in IEP writing and coordinating
    Strong instructional skills and classroom management
