Job description

• Provide compassionate care to our patients and clients .
• Perform all duties in accordance with hospital medical policies and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain a clean work environment .
• Assist the doctor in medical, surgical, and dental procedures.
• Prepare patients for surgery; assist the doctor in administering anesthesia; monitor patients during surgery and recovery.
• Administer SQ & IV fluids, Give injections SQ & IV and administer oral medications
• Restrain properly and safely.
• Assist in clinical laboratory procedures .
• Perform diagnostic tasks such as venipuncture, catheter placement, cytology sampling, etc.
• Position properly for radiographic imaging.
• Admit and discharge patients on the doctor's orders, ensuring that patients are well-groomed and in a medically appropriate state. Counsels clients on various discharge instructions .
• Explain the dosage/purpose of medications; reinforce the proper care and procedures that should be followed at home; make follow-up calls to clients.
• Properly clean and sanitize surgical instruments as well as prepare surgical packs.
• Assist other staff members with various tasks as needed.
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Maintain positive, cooperative relationships with other employees and clientele.
• Can multi-task as well as work independently or along with a team.
• Maintain professionalism during high stress situations.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
