Corona Animal Emergency Center (CAEC) is seeking to hire a hospital manager responsible for leading our staff and the overall operations of the hospital.

Corona Animal Emergency Center is a brand new, state-of-the-art emergency hospital providing exceptional care to the Corona, Norco, and surrounding areas. CAEC's team members and doctors strive to provide the best medical care and customer service to all clients and patients.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Culture:

  • Oversee all financial, operational, and employee-related functions of the hospital.
  • Establish and maintain an enriching, fun, and respectful environment for your staff.
  • Communicate company-wide objectives with your staff and align your hospital’s actions in support of those objectives.
  • Ensure your team is consistently providing the best customer experience.
  • We need a Practice Manager who can lead by example and who can help our team constructively work through challenging times.

Human Resources:

  • Recruit, interview, and hire new employees.
  • Manage personnel training and development programs.
  • Establish work schedules for staff.
  • Manage daily work assignments.
  • Conduct staff meetings.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews.
  • Manage employee benefit programs and hospital insurance plans.
  • Manage staff continuing education and license/certification.
  • Manage HR-related responsibilities in compliance with state and federal law.
  • Mentor and lead support staff by facilitating regular developmental meetings and providing educational opportunities and resources.

Client Service:

  • The practice manager will lead our client relations and client satisfaction aspects of our business. The Practice Manager will practice client communication protocols and facilitate client retention and satisfaction by doing the following:
  • Monitor client retention
  • Develop and manage new client programs
  • Handle client complaints
  • Obtain/report client feedback on service
  • Respond to client questions
  • Manage client education
  • Demonstrates and reinforces the highest level of client service
  • Resolves client issues and escalations, and oversees client follow-up communication.

Operations and Finances:

  • Ensure payroll is completed and submitted accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Manages accounts receivable and cash on hand.
  • Manages hospital inventory and controls facility and administrative costs.
  • Performs other duties essential to the performance of the hospital as assigned.
  • Purchase equipment, as needed, to increase hospital efficiency and flow.
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing financial reports and summarizing information.
  • Participates in the planning and budget maintenance process.

Client Relations:

The practice manager will lead our client relations and client satisfaction aspects of our business.

The Practice Manager will practice client communication protocols and facilitate client retention and satisfaction by doing the following:

Marketing:

  • Market your hospital to prospective customers and the veterinary community by identifying and attending relevant local and regional events.
  • Actively seek out customer feedback through in-person conversations, phone calls, and requests for surveys.
  • Evaluate customer experience metrics to identify hospital successes and areas for growth, and to inform action plans.

PREFERRED SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of leadership and management experience
  • Prior experience as a Veterinary Practice Manager or Veterinary Office Manager
  • Financial management experience - budgeting, payroll, accounts receivable, etc.
  • Operations management experience - inventory, facility management, etc.
  • Organized with special attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with anyone.
  • Ability to professionally resolve conflict.
  • Prior experience as a CVT or Veterinary Technician Assistant.
  • Knowledge of OSHA practices.
  • Get stuff done while having a fun attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $74,902.00 - $81,708.00 per year
