Garden State Veterinary Specialists is excited to announce we are hiring an Exam Room Coordinator for our new hospital in Eatontown, NJ, opening late this summer!

The Exam Room Coordinator is an integral part of the Client Service Team and will be responsible for facilitating the flow of all in-coming specialty and emergency patients from the waiting room into exam rooms, ensuring that this process is smooth, timely and efficient.

About GSVS: We are a multispecialty practice with boarded veterinary specialists in Emergency and Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Dermatology, Cardiology, Rehabilitation, and Ophthalmology. We have also been treating felines with hyperthyroid disease with radioactive iodine since 2001! Come summer, 2023, our Tinton Falls practice will be relocating to a larger facility in Eatontown, permitting us to take care of even more patients in the community!

The Exam Room Coordinator will be responsible for the following:

• Planning and running the day for all doctors and their daily scheduled appointments
• Getting clients and their pet into an appropriate, designated room
• Uploading patient information onto designated room computer
• Keeping doctors informed as to where their appointments are located and when the patient is loaded into appropriate room
• Keeping all rooms cleaned, organized, and stocked
• Establish a rapport with our clients and our referring community
• Any other duties assigned by your department supervisor

About you:

• 1 year preferred experience in a client service role, although will train the right candidate
• Excellent communication skills are expected as you will act as a liaison between the clients and the clinical staff
• Organized
• Multi-tasker
• Proactive and attention to detail
• Ability to stay on your feet for 8 hours
• Excellent communication skills
• Empathy and compassion for our clients
• Ability to be discreet and professional when appropriate
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday, 8 AM-430PM, with one Saturday/month required

• 19/hour
