We are an AAHA Accredited and Fear Free Certified Hospital seeking a Full-time experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The role requires being a team player with good animal handling skills, a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and someone who is willing and able to learn. The right candidate must be able to work some Saturdays. Our ideal candidate is also skilled in communication, detail-oriented, and has the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm under pressure. Working knowledge of Cornerstone and computers is a plus.

The major duties are animal handling and job housekeeping, which includes preparing surgical packs and supplies, stocking, handling, restraint of dogs and cats, and sample processing on our in-house laboratory equipment. Current knowledge and experience in low-stress animal handling techniques are preferred. The role is primarily to support and assist the technicians and doctors and may include placing clients and pets in exam rooms. Prefer prior experience, but not necessary.
