Varsity Volleyball Coach - Job Posting

Turlock Christian School is ACSI & WASC accredited and serves the greater Turlock Community with students in preschool through high school, with expected enrollment of 700 students this fall on four campuses. TCS is a growing school and has a proven track record of producing highly qualified graduates, fully prepared for college. TCS was recently voted Best Christian School and Best Preschool in the county. We built a new state of the art elementary facility with 1:1 devices for students that opened in January 2017.

Turlock is a safe, family-friendly community with a population of 70 thousand. It is within an easy driving distance to the San Francisco Bay Area, Monterey, and Yosemite, several lakes, skiing and more. Turlock is also home to California State University, Stanislaus, which has received national recognition on “Best
Colleges” lists from: Time Magazine, Money Magazine, Forbes Magazine, and the Princeton Review.

REQUIREMENTS
Turlock Christian Schools in Turlock, California is seeking an experienced, dynamic Varsity Volleyball Coach who is committed to achieving excellence throughout our school and athletic program. To be eligible for this position, applicants must possess the following:

 A personal relationship with Christ;

 Commitment to Turlock Christian Schools’ mission, values, goals (can be viewed at turlockchristian.com);

 3 or more years of High School volleyball coaching experience;

 High level of personal integrity and professionalism;

 High level of organizational and communication skills;

 Demonstrated effective leadership ability;

 Desire to continue to grow and develop the volleyball program at TCS, including the skills and abilities of the athletes;

 Unwavering commitment to build high athletic achievement of TCS students, in accordance with their God-given gifts;

 Ability to work cooperatively with others on the coaching staff to motivate and lead coaching staff in order to create the highest athletic performance possible from all students, combined with Christian character growth;

 An understanding that athletics is a tool, first and foremost, to grow and develop the

Christian character of our students, disciplining them towards godliness in their life and character;

 Ability to work with parent organizations such as Boosters to coordinate athletics events and fundraisers;

 Experience in budget management and experience to facilitate an excellent sports program.
