Overview:
- With the assitance of the Athletic Director, provide direction for the Boy's Basketball program Grades 7 through 12
- Provide athletes with an opportunity to participate in a successful basketball program
- Provide high quality instruction and skill development for all athletes in the basketball program
- Establish performance criteria for competition and evaluate students’ athletic abilities initially and on a regular basis
- Promote athletes participation in the basketball program at all levels
- Supervise assistant coaches and provide professional development for sub-varsity coaches
- Establish and maintain a collaborative coaching environment
- Provide quality classroom instruction in the assigned content subject area
- Establish and maintain a positive line of communication with athletes, students, parents, coaches, faculty, administrators and community
- Understand U.I.L. Rules and Regulations
Head Basketball Coach experience preferred
Three years of basketball coaching experience required
Coaching stipends are added to the applicable B.I.S.D, Teacher Hiring Guide rate to determine final salary.
