SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are seeking experienced Utility Locator to join our Utilities gas line crews. Based out of our Loucks Mill Office, located in York, PA, the Utility Locator will work in jobsites in and around York County, PA. Applicants should possess general knowledge of underground utility installation, utility locating, and pipeline safety. This position requires the ability to locate natural gas utilities and perform light excavation work around meter sets and valves safely and efficiently. The Utilities locator will comprise detailed reports of trouble locates and have adequate communication skills. Our team offers year-round employment with advancement opportunities.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Locate natural gas facilities and other underground utilities safety and correctly
• Utilize an iPad and computer to successfully document utility markings
• Read utility maps and service line drawings
• Recognize job sites hazards
• Provide detailed reports and use best practices for locating the jobsites

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in utility finding
• Valid PA driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass DOT pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening
• Ability to perform light hand shoveling
• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
• Ability to work well with others
