As Senior Director II, Product Management for the merchandising domain, you'll be responsible for a suite of technology capabilities used by merchants and suppliers for Walmart markets around the world. That includes our businesses in Canada, Mexico, Central America, Chile, South Africa, China, and more.

The merchandising domain is an organization within International Technology is comprised of product managers, engineers, program managers, and data scientists. This organization provides markets with the tools to put the right products, in the right place, at the right price, supported by the right content. The product management group that you'll lead is responsible for understanding stakeholder goals, defining a vision for technology capabilities to achieve those goals, and then managing a roadmap to develop those capabilities. Your team will commit to clear market business outcomes and measure the success of their product deliverables against these outcomes.

You'll lead a team of 30 - 40 product managers, and be responsible for their growth & development, and effectiveness as a product organization. Success in this role will, in part, be achieved by continuously upskilling the product managers through better recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and regular operating rhythms. You'll bring your understanding of internal Walmart business practices as well as retail & technology industry practices to instill a product mindset in team members.

You and your team will help markets achieve their goals through a variety of means.
  • Directly overseeing the development and deployment of tech solutions at low-cost through cross-market leverage.
  • Adapting existing US technology solution to meet international needs.
  • Advising local market teams on their technology investments.
  • Connecting market stakeholders with one another to share operating & technology best practices.

Leading candidates will have experience with agile software development and with retail merchandising operations, including product information management, pricing, assortment planning, and retail space management.
