Job Summary:
Under general supervision, is responsible for the medical care of urgent care patients. Treats patients in Urgent Care Clinics (UC) to ensure proper injury care and disease diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessary.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Must be willing to work out of most or all of AP Urgent Care clinic locations: Arcadia, City of Industry, Monterey Park.
- Works cooperatively and supportively with Medical Director and medical staff to provide urgent care services for all patients who present to the UC.
- Works cooperatively and supportively with other clinical and non-clinical departments to ensure availability, quality, and effective use of services.
- Treats patients to ensure proper injury care and disease diagnosis, request necessary tests and follow-up visits.
- Experience in Laceration Repair, I&D, fracture care for all ages
- As necessary, stabilizes patient and coordinates transportation of patient to tertiary care centers.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Must be able to identify urgent and emergent situations and intervene appropriately
- Vigorously engages in his/her own professional development; is a life-long learner who enhances his/her skills to work efficiently and effectively.
- Is familiar with and complies with all policies and regulations as put forth in the company's documents.
- Since safety and security are everyone's responsibility, takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect employees, patients, equipment, materials and facilities.
- Must be willing to do telemedicine
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Further Career Development: Pathway to Emergency Department PA/NP:
- Opportunity will provide learning opportunity and education path to become a Emergency Room PA/NP.
- Work closely with Board Certified Emergency Physicians on daily basis.
- Selected shifts with supervised and educated by directly by Board Certified Emergency Physicians.
- Opportunities to work in the partnered Emergency Department
- Monthly education by ED APP Director along with other established ED PA/NPs.
- Experience in the ED provides the pathway to become an ENP (emergency nurse practitioner) or Emergency Medicine Fellowship for PA.
Required Education, Training & Experience:
- Master's Degree from an accredited Advanced Nurse Practitioner program or graduation from a Physician Assistant (PA) Training Program accredited by the American Medical Association Council on Medical Education
- Licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant with a current valid, full and unrestricted license in California State
- Current BLS and ACLS
- Maintains Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements
- Minimum two years of acute care experience required
- Bilingual in Chinese or Spanish is a Plus

Schedule:
· 12 hour shift (Weekday)
· 8 hour shift (Weekend)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Per diem
Pay: From $145,000.00 per year
