New Hampshire Ball Bearing’s Astro Division is located in Laconia, NH—heart of the scenic Lakes Region. Astro is a World-Class 430+ person, climate-controlled advanced manufacturing facility producing high precision metal aerospace components.

Position will manage all aspects of Purchasing to efficiently and cost-effectively support organizational operations. Core responsibilities and competencies:

· Negotiating, analytical and problem solving skills

· Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors

· Manage risk relating to quality, cost, delivery and supply of purchases

· Direct CI of purchasing processes in line with changing needs and market conditions

· Develop and manage purchasing budgets and forecasts

· Monitor supplier and vendor compliance with contractual agreements

· Strong computer skills

· Knowledge with Automated Manufacturing Systems (MRP – ERP)

· Self-motivated with strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines

· International Supply Chain Management experience

· Experience in VMI

· Five years progressive management and supervisory experience preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

· Bachelor’s degree required in business, materials management, operations management or related field. APICS-Purchasing Certification a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $76,385.47 - $81,532.13 per year
