North Wind Construction Services provides heavy civil construction services with special expertise in mine reclamation, repository construction and operation, landfill closures, and stream restoration. Operations began in northern Idaho, but have expanded to new regions including Las Vegas, Seattle, and Oak Ridge. The Construction Services team is known for the successful completion of projects in challenging conditions that are often in remote locations throughout the U.S. North Wind Construction Services is a certified 8(a) and small disadvantaged business.
Job Description
- The truck driver shall drive trucks equipped with dump body to transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, riprap rock, topsoil, and various debris materials.
- Operate off-road haul trucks or tractors equipped to move materials around project sites.
- Trucks may include off-road haul trucks or on-road haul trucks requiring CDL certification(s).
- Pulls levers or turns crank to tilt body and dump contents.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles or auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, and fueling.
Qualifications
- Ability to work safely and efficiently
- Ability to regularly move at least 50-lbs manually
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and designated health and safety requirements
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions or difficult terrain.
Desirable Skills
- Minimum of 2 years truck driving experience
