McRae's U.S. Mail Service Inc. located in West Allis, WI. is a growing company and is looking to hire a full-time Safety Manager. This is a full-time job, Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the Accident Investigation process
- Ensure compliance with all company, client, Department of Transportation (DOT), and OSHA regulations, policies, and procedures
- Monitor, review, and address Hours of Service for each driver to ensure continuous compliance with Federal Regulations
- Safety Meetings for drivers
- Coordinate and conduct training and continuous education for drivers
- Yearly reporting – FMCSA and insurance
- Regulatory reviews – HOS, CSA Scores
- Overall reduction in risk cost to the company
- Ensure all cameras are working properly and coordinate any repairs as necessary
- Achieve company objectives to reduce unsafe driving behavior through training of driver managers as well as drivers while creating a positive learning and working environment
- Prepare all required reports and information in an organized and timely manner
- Ensure all drivecam events are being coached in a timely manner in accordance with program objectives
- Make recommendations to Senior Management regarding changes that may impact Fleet Safety and Operations
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Hands-On and Approachable
- Solutions Oriented
- 5+ years’ experience in the transportation field
- CDL A Required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
- Strong work ethic with a professional, positive attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- In-depth knowledge of: Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Federal, state DOT, OHSA and related regulations
- Ability to protect confidential information
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
