Job description

This position is responsible for managing the flow of freight contracts through the rate load process. The Transportation Analyst will be responsible for analyzing incoming freight contracts, capturing data accurately, and maintaining a rate automation database, while ensuring a timely and correct result for our clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review freight contracts as they are received.
• Analyze freight bill data to identify how to properly capture contracted rates.
• Transfer freight, fuel, and accessorial charges to excel spreadsheets.
• Upload the built rate file directly into the rate automation database.
• Maintain an up to date and accurate rate automation database.
• Edit existing loaded rates as needed.
• Ensure a timely flow of freight contracts through the rate loading process.
• Communicates problems and progress with Director, Rate Audit Services.
• Responds to change productively and handles other essential duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

Associates Degree and three or more years transportation or analytical related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills/Abilities:

• Strong Understanding of transportation and carrier contracts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent attention to detail
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
• Basic mathematics skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Works well within a team structure
