Job Summary:
As an Engineering Services Manager with Fleet Maintenance, your motto will be like all others that have worked on our team: If it's moving, it's ours! This leader heads up a dynamic team of professionals who have the know-how to keep it all running. Every day as a Transportation Engineering Services Fleet Manager is different. On any given day you might be responsible for the Transportation Fleet Management Team leading Union Craft-workers; managing all of Disney Parks and Experience vehicle registration, acquisition or disposal of transportation assets; or tracking company fuel usage for both on and off-road usage.
You will report to the Manager of Transportation Engineering Services.
Responsibilities/You Will
- Cooperate with Disney’s Tax Department to reconcile fuel tax credits with assurance on fuel usage
- Work to meet Federal and State requirements as it relates to automotive technologies both current and future
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory standards that are applicable to the area
- Work to improve the quality of vehicle service and reliability that impact the cost associated with maintaining vehicles and fuel usage
- Administer the WDW fleet management program
- Coordinate fleet assignments and vehicle movement
- Direct, approve and monitor the use of the contingency fleet
- Track vehicle life and major component exchanges
- Support maintenance strategies that focus on both immediate response and long-term sustainment
- Support corporate alliance contract agreements
- Coordinate with Risk Management and Legal on incident litigation
- Work with all company lines of business and vendors to provide safe and reliable maintenance solutions
- Develop and monitor the department’s annual operating budget
- Oversee and ensure appropriate procurement practices and policies are followed
- Acquire a Florida CDL Class B within 6 months of employment
Basic Qualifications/You Will Have
- 5+ years’ confirmed experience in a maintenance-related field including direct experience in transportation maintenance
- 3+ years of maintenance leadership experience
- 2+ years of fleet management experience
- Well-developed tactics to balance time
- Genuine interest in mentoring, and forming partnerships with your team and leaders
- Comfort with working outdoors in all weather conditions, and handling the physical rigors of the job
- Willing to work evenings, holidays, weekends and varying shifts including overnight shifts
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous leader or support role in the Fleet or Fuel Management industry
- Florida CDL License at least a B
- Proficient in Microsoft system mainly Excel plus SAP
- Familiarity with SAP and maintenance reporting/scheduling systems such as Maximo
- Fuel Acquisition Experience
- Multimodal Transportation Operational Experience
Required Education
A Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
