Pay Range: $27.00- $33.00 per hour.

This position is responsible for providing expertise on current transportation operations from initiation through implementation of our TMS project. Responsibilities include development of training materials and SOP’s. Upon project implementation, this position will be an integral part of the training and development of transportation TEAM members. Upon project completion, this position will provide continuous development as a member of the load planning team.

• Train and mentor team members in the use of new Transportation Management System
• Responsible for daily planning and assignment of customer loads to the dispatch team.
• Approve or decline CSR submissions for same day and next day customer load offers.
• Development of routes based on production and customer delivery schedules.
• Manage allocation of shipments to meet fleet requests.
• Responsible for carrier capacity allocation of trailers to customers and geographic areas based on customer and company needs.
• Manage the day-to-day utilization of drop trailers in company yards.
• Coordinate with Sales, Fleet Management, Customer Service, and carriers to ensure maximum productivity and customer service.
• Plan and implement processes as necessary to improve routing and performance.

• Ability to provide effective planning to maximize service and financial performance
• Knowledge of national and regional geography and roadways
• Knowledge of DOT regulations including hours of services rules with ability to incorporate rules into daily shipment planning
• Ability to communicate with internal and external customers and business partners in a professional and respectful manner
• Provide detailed instruction to various personnel via email, phone and logistics business network.
• Ability to develop relations with fleet managers, management and internal / external business partners
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SAP and transportation management systems a plus
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
