Transit Management of Charlotte is hiring Bus Operators to join our dedicated team in the transportation business. We are offering immediate opportunities for individuals to grow with us and serve the City of Charlotte. As a TMOC Bus Operator, you are a primary link to the continuing success of this team.

TMOC provides a variety of transportation services for our passengers across the City of Charlotte and surrounding areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate CATS Transit Buses safely on scheduled routes as directed.
• Collects/records bus fares, and transfers in accordance with CATS procedures.
• Promote exemplary customer service of the Charlotte Area Transit System by providing safe, courteous, timely, and dependable service while transporting CATS passengers.
• Assist in the boarding of disabled passengers who require the aid of accessible vehicles (wheelchairs/scooters) for the purpose of mobility. Involves bending, stooping and twisting while securing belts and straps to ensure the patron is safe.

At TMOC we value our Bus Operators. Newly hired operators can potentially expect to earn an annual salary up to $60,000 by working a regular scheduled shift and an average of two (2) hours of overtime per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Must successfully pass required Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and company required drug test.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must possess and maintain a Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A or B or Permit with Passenger Endorsement.
• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Must be flexible to work any shift, weekends and holidays
• Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Must commit to 7-week Bus Operator Training
