Position Description

Advertised Job Summary
This position will be responsible for the creation and implementation of a Training and Quality Assurance program for the custodial staff team within the University Housing Facilities at UofSC.

Key Responsibilities -
  • Works with a state-of-the-art training center for custodial training
  • Train custodial staff on our procedures and best practices
  • Create a quality assurance program based on a train-the-trainer model
  • Create internal quality control process

Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree and 3 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.


Preferred Qualifications
Previous training experience preferably with custodial staff. Previous quality assurance experience. Previous experience creating training packages and programs.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
This position does require extensive working knowledge within the custodial field, training, planning, organization, communication and computer skills and knowledge. To be effective in this role a thorough knowledge of the custodial industry (ISSA standards, methods and equipment) exceptional communicator, advanced organizational skills, self-motivating, excellent written capabilities, teacher and the ability to plan and follow through. Possess skill in instructional design and training of adult learners Ability to develop procedures to facilitate consistency of results and safe and effective product and equipment use. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
