The training and development specialist is responsible for partnering in all aspects to strategize, design, develop, and implement all aspects of a company's organizational and instructional development function. This person will create and conduct leadership education programs for various groups within the business. The role will contribute to Wild Fork’s broader leadership development strategy by using a hands-on approach to both classroom and virtual training as well as content design.

This individual needs to have a hands-on and flexible approach to fast changing and versatile needs of all departments, a strong commitment to championing the Customer experience and committed to the expansion and success of the business.

This is an in-office role based in Doral, FL, with up to 75% travel to field.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Operations and HR Leaders in the field to better understand their training and development needs.
  • Design, develop, implement, and evaluate company-wide training programs with an increased focus on virtual design and delivery.
  • Design, develop and implement experiential learning activities.
  • Analyze training evaluations to modify and improve existing programs and/or develop new training programs.
  • Create and distribute marketing documents for training programs.
  • Develop multimedia visual aids and presentations.
  • Support the development and maintenance of Culture & Talent team processes and procedures.
  • Contribute to the management of the budget for training programs.
  • Provide Wild Fork team members with world-class classroom training, virtual training, demonstrations, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
  • Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force
  • Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures – walk-in freezers
  • Travel up to 75% of time in into the field

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources is preferred but not required
  • 3-5 years’ experience training in Retail, Hospitality and/ or foodservice industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and self-driven
  • Knowledge and experience with food would be helpful for the adaption to the role
  • Ability to think ahead and anticipate needs before they arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and deadlines
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to work for different people at once, prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to have FUN
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
