Job Description
We are searching for a person to do the following:
Construct new and repair stamping dies/punches.
Capable of running Haas CNC mill, lathe, sinker EDM and heat-treating equipment.
Programming knowledge with Mastercam, solid works and/or a cad/cam software is a must.
Review specifications, lay out metal stock, set up and operate machine tools, fit, and assemble parts to make and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinist hand tools.
Carry out test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications and adjust as necessary.
File, grind, shim, and adjust different parts to properly fit them together.
Work from blueprints, sketches, models, and specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools, dies, or assemblies.
Take responsibility for quality of workmanship and dimensional accuracy of work performed.
Must have a solid work ethic, attendance, communication skills and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in die/punch making.
Must be carded, 2 years of tech school for tool and die, and/or verified experience
