THERAPEUTIC RECREATION ASSISTANTS (TRA)

Full-Time

Blythedale Children’s Hospital offers outstanding opportunities for a Therapeutic Recreation Assistants.

FULL-TIME INFANTS PROGRAM | Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm

Candidates will provide developmental/recreational support for our patients on our Infant/Toddler Unit. In collaboration with larger Therapeutic and Developmental Support services team, candidate will participate in the development and execution of care plans for patients and families. Candidate will be responsible for providing developmentally appropriate and thoughtfully matched developmental play experiences both at the patient’s bedside and out of room. Candidate must be comfortable navigate medical fragile infants and toddlers. Candidate will also be responsible for ensuring cleanliness of play spaces and equipment, participation in and facilitation of special events and donations as directed by supervisor. This position does require holiday coverage as defined in departmental policy.

Requirements: High School Diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in child development or closely related field in progress or completed strongly preferred; experience working with INFANTS required, experience with medical fragile infants preferred; and experience in preparing and implementing developmentally appropriate play experiences preferred.

Salaries range from $39,400 – $42,400 based on experience. We offer an excellent benefit package including ample vacation and free parking, continuing education, staff in-service and clinical supervision.
