We are seeking individuals to Join our Pack as Pastry Cook. Successful candidates will work with the chef and co-workers in a high-volume food service environment.
Essential job duties include:
- Measure and mix ingredients according to specifics of standardized recipes
- Prepare custards, batters, doughs, and mousses from scratch
- Clean utensils, workspace, tables, shelves & equipment
- Maintain Grade A sanitation rating of 95% or better.
- Other duties as assigned to ensure NC State Dining’s business needs are met. Position may be asked to assist in other locations as necessary.
There is a State of NC mandatory 32-day break at the end of 11 months. Exceptional work performance and professional conduct throughout your employment may provide an opportunity to renew employment and/or advancement potential.
Work Schedule | Typical hours are 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Monday-Sunday; however due to business needs, employees may need to work a rotating shift, including nights and weekends. Full- and part-time positions are available.
Minimum Experience/Education |
Two years of experience in a similar capacity.
