Technology & Innovation Specialist

Job Purpose

Provides support by identifying, researching, and testing new technology or innovations that improve the associate and/or customer experience. Completes or monitors organizational functions or processes, ensuring that they are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with established policies and regulations. Tracks processes, preparing reports for management detailing quality of departmental actions. Implements procedural changes meant to improve performance or efficiency. Responsibility

Researches and identifies existing and emerging technologies and innovations to make recommendations to the business on its benefits and use cases.

Works cross-functionally with the business to seek out solutions to solve complex business problems. Works with IT and Strategic Sourcing to find viable solutions with determined business benefits

Works with partners such as Training, Workforce Practice and Communications on pilots and process changes. Assists in determining pilots to test and prove viability of solutions. Tracks processes, prepare reports to monitor the success of the change or solution.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• Strong PC skills including working knowledge and proficiency with the primary Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to rely on experience, discretion, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

• Ability to manage and direct multiple complex projects simultaneously to drive solutions that meet or surpass business expectations and deliver project milestones on-time and within budget.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex and detailed information to a diverse population.

• Exceptional problem resolution and process improvement skills.

• Superior analytical, organizational, decision-making and project management skills.

• Fully versed in administrative and budgetary management functions

• Experience in retail business processes related to retail operations and systems (cash office, pricing, and direct store deliveries).

• Experience in retail technology solutions

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred

• Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement training and experience

• Experience in total store with working knowledge of how each department functions

Qualifications:

3 - 6 yrs minimum

Required Education

Associate's Degree

Information Technology, Industrial Engineer, Business or related field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
