We are seeking a Technical Services Scientist which can be based in King of Prussia, Lewistown, or McElhattan, PA.
The responsibility for this position requires one to provide technical advice & value to North America retail sales organization, manages retailer’s technical needs, and resolves product or service requests regarding technical issues. Provides our Retail Customer’s with product information, product samples & product testing as well as insuring that our Operations Team is well versed in the Customer’s expectations related to product launches, product changes, quality specifications and procedures.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage third party laboratory and auditing body activities. Includes scheduling and oversight of product testing and audits.
- Manage FQCP retailer's private brand processes around product lifecycle management, including product specifications, audit reporting, and regulatory positions.
- Participates in product development projects that support the Company’s overall strategic business plan and provide technical support to Marketing and Sales during FQCP product transitions.
- Maintains relationship with retailer’s private brand teams and engages retailers in technical information needs.
- Builds and maintains product FAQ's.
- Create technical reports/communicationtools that document activities supporting new product innovations, QA initiatives, regulatory compliance, and claim substantiation.
- Stays current with regulatory knowledge that impact product, environment, security, and social responsibility. Utilize information to support regulatory communications with FQCP businesses.
- Keep up to date with market trends, new developments, and consumer testing; utilize information for business improvement.
- Supervises the activities of assigned staff.
Education and experience requirements include:
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality assurance or product engineering.
- Ability to motivate, influence and persuade customers and personnel to accept recommendations and strategies.
- Experience in domestic environment with international regulatory environments.
- Demonstrated ability to drive work & get results in a global environment and ability to take risks and drive decisions.
- Keen knowledge of QMS requirements for FDA regulated products.
- Cross-functional project management expertise with extensive medical device experience, including experience in activities and interaction with personnel in the areas of supply chain, regulatory affairs, and project management.
- Demonstrated understanding of info systems that apply to tracking, project mgmt. & capacity analysis i.e., Microsoft project or equivalent, excel.
