Teacher Associate: NICAO's Head Start program is accepting applications for a Teacher Aide/Floater for the 2023-2024 school year in our Eastern Service Area. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7.5 hours a day, during the school year only.

Duties Include:

• Assisting the teacher in planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate, nurturing, and supportive early childhood program throughout different classrooms in our Eastern Service Area.
• Assisting in the kitchen as needed.
• Building relationships with children, families, and staff that follow our program's curriculum and Head Start performance standards.
• Providing a variety of experiences and media that stimulate children to explore and express their creative abilities.
• Eating meals/snacks with children to model and develop positive eating habits.

Job Requirements:

• Posses a valid drivers license and insured vehicle - Travel is Required
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Early Childhood Education and/or experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain a professional, positive attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively and efficiently multi-task.
• Pass SING background check with fingerprints (information provided during interview).
• Must be punctual and dependable.
