California. We offer investment planning, tax preparation, insurance services, bookkeeping and payroll support.

Job Description/Daily Responsibilities: Tax Preparer, Seasonal or Full-Time in Corte Madera, CA

Ideal Candidate: 3-5 Years of experience preparing tax returns with the ability to work directly with clients on individual and corporate tax returns from start to finish. Strong ability to multi-task during the high tax seasons while offering tax planning during the off-season.

Responsibilities:

● Work with members of the tax team to ensure that tax returns are completed correctly and on time based on provided deadlines

● Prepare and review tax returns for maximum efficiency and accuracy
● Speak directly to clients on the phone or in person to collaborate on tax preparation and provide guidance for maximum returns
● Accurately prepare federal and state tax returns in a timely manner through Pro Series software
● Identify tax problems and develop solutions for maximum outcome
● Compile responses and schedules in preparation for income tax audits
● Build & maintain relationships with clients -

• Develop tax strategies to assist clients in being tax-compliant & to secure their financial future.
• Identify deductions & savings clients have not considered.
• Analyze client financial records for the last financial year.
• Request additional information from clients for processing returns.
• Answer client questions & educate.

Job Skills & Qualifications:

● 3-5 Years of experience preparing tax returns
● Licensed in the state of California
● Understanding of current tax laws as it pertains to each corporate entity
● Proficiency in preparing 1040’s, S-Corp, C-Corp, Trust, Non-Profit and Partnership tax returns
● Proven experience as a tax manager, public accountant, or similar role.
● Confidence using tax preparation software such as ProSeries or similar application
● Online literacy - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Office Tools
● Clear verbal and written skills
● Ability to work extended hours during tax season

This is a full-time, in office position. No work from home. We offer health and retirement benefits after 30 days of employment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
