Virginia Accounting Services (50+ years in business) was recently acquired by Fitzwilliams Tax Management, a subsidiary of Fitzwilliams Financial.

We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team at Fitzwilliams Tax Management. The ideal candidate will have experience with Taxdome software and filing taxes using Intuit's Pro Series. They must also possess their own PTIN. This is a part-time position with a competitive salary.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Review financial records, such as income statements and expenses, to ensure accuracy
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and answer any questions they may have
• Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations
• Help clients to minimize their tax liability through proper deductions and credits
• Resolve any tax-related issues for clients

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in tax preparation
• Familiarity with Taxdome software and filing taxes using Intuit's Pro Series
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred, but not required
