If you have the technical skills of a Tax Manager but have plateaued at your current firm, join us at Sasserath & Co. We are seeking a Tax Manager with a technical tax background who would enjoy the opportunity to work on technical projects with the Managing Partner. We also offer the opportunity to manage client relationships to build a book of business and pave the path to partnership.

Sasserath & Co. is a boutique firm focusing on sophisticated tax work for closely held businesses. This full-time role is based at our Ronkonkoma headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Review personal, business, partnership, and trust income tax returns and projections
• Assume tax preparation responsibility for more complex business returns and high-net-worth individuals
• Provide insight into tax saving measures
• Manage, train, and mentor staff and senior level tax professionals
• Coordinate client engagements
• Consult with clients on various business matters

Qualifications

• CPA preferred (or must have definitive plans for achieving CPA eligibility)
• Bachelor’s degree required, in Accounting preferred
• Master’s degree in Taxation a plus
• 6+ years of public accounting experience
• Tech savvy. Experience with Office, UltraTax, CCH, and QuickBooks a plus

Pay: $125,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
