Job description

Primary duties for this position include but are not limited to customer service, collection of County taxes based upon statutes and established procedures, and computer data entry into accounting system. This position also manages property transfers with limited oversight, including the use of GIS systems. Other duties include filing, scanning, and using programs typically found in an office setting (word, excel, e-mail, etc.).

Knowledge required: computer software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite products, record-keeping practices, and general office procedures and basic understanding of real estate transactions and the County property tax system.

Minimum requirements include associate degree or two-year technical certificate and two years of secretary/tax agency work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job.

This is a full-time, union position at 37.5 hours per week. Wage range $20.11 - $24.61 an hour. Current wage is based on AFSCME contract.
