Providing vital support to all Human Resources operational areas, the Talent Strategy Manager aligns talent goals, business partnership, and analytics to drive recruitment efforts, organizational development, culture, and engagement. This role leads efforts in acquiring strong external talent and developing internal talent pathways. Working across all levels and functions of the organization, this role will provide coaching and recommendations supporting our organizational mission – to improve lives!

Essential Functions*

  • Responsible for the leadership and daily operational management of the talent acquisition team and function, developing and cross-training team members.
  • Build and drive talent analytics making recommendations for human resources programs, solutions, and efficiencies within the organization.
  • Collaborate with each operational area of human resources in addressing current and projected workforce needs.
  • Research, recommend, and develop initiatives aligning with talent management strategic objectives throughout the organization.
  • Improve talent experience by identifying trends and proactively recommend solutions to drive action ensuring objectives, operations, and activities are aligned with OneAZ’s strategy on diversity and inclusion.
  • Manage the prospecting, identification, recruitment, evaluation, selection, and onboarding of external and internal candidates.
  • Stay current on developments in the HR industry, OneAZ product lines, and business conditions relevant to OneAZ’s human capital.
  • In conjunction with Talent Acquisition Team Lead, develop and monitor the annual talent acquisition budget, identifying, collaborating, and maintaining relationships with outside recruiting agencies.
  • Develop ideas for talent acquisition strategy and actions that proactively attract and retain diverse and inclusive associates, promoting OneAZ as a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Participate in HR department environmental scans, strategic planning, and objective development, assisting in personnel forecast and assessment to project employment, training, retention, and benefits needs.
  • Build and deploy organizational talent acquisition-related training and development, as appropriate.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; managing performance; rewarding and coaching associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration required.

Experience*

  • 8 to 10 years of similar or related experience in HR, including in the Recruiting function.
  • Experience with building data and analytics required.

  • Outstanding skills in consulting, coaching, facilitation, communication, and collaboration, with all levels of an organization.
  • Highly experienced in candidate sourcing and full life-cycle talent acquisition, including passive candidate recruiting.
  • Strong ability to coach, cross-train and develop a team.
  • Knowledge of current employment laws, including recruiting best practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and practices.
  • Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgement that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation, or law.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and interpret varied data and information.
  • Highly adept at workload and project coordination/management.
  • Skills in database management and recordkeeping.
  • Evidence of practicing a high level of confidentiality with information.

Additional Considerations

Ensures compliance with applicable policies, laws, and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance, USA Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

As applicable, any individual who meets the definition of a mortgage loan originator (MLO) and is employed by a federal agency-regulated institution will need to be registered on the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).

Licenses and Certifications

  • Human Resources, Talent Management, and/or Recruitment professional certification required.
