Description
SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer to fill a critical position on the LANDMARK AOS program. The position will be located in Chantilly, VA. All candidates must have an active TS/SCI clearance.
LANDMARK AOS is a large SETA contract, supporting the customer’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete program life cycle.
This candidate will provide specialized engineering expertise supporting system-level architecture analysis for advance ground innovative software services. SAIC’s client is tasked with leading the integration of mission focused tools to foster increased efficiency, automation and information sharing. The qualified candidate will assist and advise Government managers in evaluating and transitioning innovative technologies for the customer's Ground Enterprise.
Job Responsibilities:
- Interact with Government project management and functional managers to define scope of work for projects, and develop and update detailed schedules
- Use Microsoft Project to organize, implement and maintain multiple schedules for the various program technical branches
- Integrate developer schedules to generate and maintain an accurate Organization-level master schedule
- Evaluate project schedule progress and performance, identify any variances, and highlight developing problem areas
- Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-around
- Use Government CM tools to store, track, and manage configuration items
- Coordinate project level impact analyses of proposed engineering changes
- Support agile process evolution across Government teams, development contractors, user engagement teams, and stakeholders
- Derive enterprise, system, functional, performance, and interface level requirements and work with the team to develop the corresponding documentation
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Polygraph
- Bachelor Degree in STEM related field
- Demonstrated experience in managing technical, cost and schedule performance of software development programs
- Expertise and experience with the IC acquisition cycle, requirements processes, budgetary practices, and acquisition documentation
- Demonstrated capability and success working in team environments
- Strong oral and written communications ability on significant technical matters often requiring coordination within a high-tempo environment
- Good working knowledge of MS Office applications and Atlassian collaboration tools
