As part of the Enterprise Technology Services Integration and Data team, this individual will have primary responsibility over the design, upgrade, automation and support of the enterprise Ab Initio system. By collaborating with Solution Architects, Infrastructure and Development Teams and Product Vendors, the Systems and Data Platform Engineer will transform existing infrastructure into world class platforms that are resilient and scalable. Is the primary SME for solving complex infrastructure and design problems in enterprise ETL and Data systems. Has a history of seeking and capitalizing on opportunities to increase automation and self-service processes and tools. This role needs your experience to design, install, upgrade, analyze, remediate, document, and automate solutions for:
Using tools:
- Ab Initio Suite primarily Metadata Hub
- Monitoring: Splunk, Dynatrace
- Continuous delivery: Tools: Chef, Jenkins, TFS
- Will be primarily focused on Ab Initio products and engineering including support, upgrades, maintenance and administration
- Need experience with M-Hub and the other components
- Support Life Cycle Management by providing timely product roadmaps to keep platforms up date, support the emerging development architecture and retire aging systems.
- Improve business continuity and disaster recovery design, planning, and documentation including fault tolerance.
- Evaluates and designs automation to streamline and improve day-to-day maintenance of systems and delivering self-service automation for development teams.
- Ensures adherence to Service Level Agreements regarding platform availability and reliability.
- Participates in project meetings supporting business objectives which require message queueing deliverables.
- Creates and oversees documentation of system run books, problem resolution steps, and tenant application information.
- Role has a chance to learn more data tools down the road to expand the skill set (Oracle based tools primarily)
- Incumbent will be required on a rotating basis to work a non-traditional schedule including on-call hours.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and three to five (3-5) years of relevant experience in assigned area or combination or education, experience and training.

- EME administration
- Control Center/Operation Console
- Metadata Hub
- DQA/DQE
- Express >It
- Query >It
- Ab Initio Authorization Gateway
- Working in a Linux environment
- Experience with developing monitoring of systems: Like Datadog , DynaTrace, Splunk
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking standards, protocols, etc
- Experience automating common administrative tasks using Bash, Ansible, Power Shell, etc
