About this role

EWM System Superuser providing front-line issue resolution. The systems analyst will be responsible for supporting Carrier’s Indianapolis DC through effective systems management.

The Indianapolis DC uses SAP as its ERP system utilizing S/4 Hana for its EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) and TM (Transportation Management) modules. This position is responsible for ensuring EWM is working effectively and troubleshoots problem areas across cross-functional IT support teams to develop solutions

Key Responsibilities

  • EWM System Superuser
  • Confers with department heads to coordinate DC activities, such as production, sales, inventory, records control, and purchasing, to ensure the efficient movement of material from receiving to production.
  • Develops standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, or salvaging products or materials to increase efficiency and optimize processes.
  • Troubleshoot problems between Warehouse Management Systems EWM, TMS, YMS, and order mgmt. systems and work across IT experts to develop solutions
  • Understand and solve issues related to inventory and order fulfillment within ECC and EWM.
  • Maintain and update site hardware as needed including tablets and RF scanners
  • Work with system experts and warehouse leadership to develop new solutions for reporting and warehouse applications
  • Validate changes proposed by AMS (application maintenance and support teams) & Supporting contractors
  • Work across Carrier IT teams to ensure all hardware is functioning as designed
  • Proactively identify problems in EWM and implement swift, effective solutions
  • Lead daily stand up call with AMS support to prioritize work for addressing incidents and future improvements
  • Work closely with Indianapolis DC to further drive continuous improvement
  • Manage system enhancement/issue resolution requests ensuring the right prioritization is assigned based on the needs of the business
  • Communicate system changes (outages, enhancements, etc.) to core business users
  • Experience with incident resolution / change management a plus, experience with ServiceNow & Jira preferred.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience with EWM
  • 2+ years of experience with ECC SAP

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the Logistics and Supply Chain
  • Solid understanding of SAP order management, delivery ticket logic, and application development methodologies
  • Strong SQL and Microsoft Office application skills
  • Passion and curiosity for technology
  • Proven ability to execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action
  • Innovative thinking
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional fast paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience and expertise with SAP ECC 6.0 and EWM
  • Experience and expertise with RF Gun/ Honeywell/Intermec equipment
  • Power BI knowledge
  • Hands-on experience with implementing, architecting, configuration, deployment, and testing of SAP based ERP systems. An understanding of a wide range of business processes with a focus on Warehouse Management.
